- Have my vehicle regularly tuned-up
- Check my vehicle's tire pressure at least monthly

DRIVE LESS
- Share a ride to work or school at least twice a month
- Combine my errands eliminating single trips
- Bring my lunch at least twice a week to school or work
- Take the bus to work or school at least once a week
- Walk to lunch at least once a week
- Ride my bike to school or work at least twice a week
- Work from home at least twice a month
POWER DOWN
- Turn off my computer everyday
- Unplug all of my unused appliances everyday
- Turn off the lights every time I leave a room
- Turn off the lights at the end of each workday
- Close the refrigerator or freezer door promptly each time
- Replace old or broken appliances with energy efficient ones
- Replace burned out light bulbs with energy saving compact fluorescent light bulbs
- Install solar landscape lighting instead of electric landscape lighting
- Set my thermostat to an energy-saving 80 degrees from June-October
- Use ceiling fans to cool whenever possible
- Install ceiling fans in my home where practical
- Use my energy efficient temperature settings on my washer and dryer every time
- Air dry my clothes when possible
PUT IT OFF
- Operate my dishwasher after 7:00 p.m.
- Run my washer and or dryer after 7:00 p.m.
- Use gasoline powered lawn and garden equipment only after 6:00 p.m.
- Refuel my vehicle after 6:00 p.m.
ZAP EVAPORATION
- Properly store and cover gasoline, paint and solvents in a shady area of my garage or work area
- Park my car in the garage or in the shade
- Use manual or electric lawn equipment instead of gasoline powered
- When painting or staining use low VOC products
- When barbequing use a manual charcoal starter instead of lighter fluid
COOL IT
- Plant at least one tree to provide shade on the south or west side of my house
- Install awnings on my home

- Tell at least one friend about becoming an Ozone Action Hero
- Check to see if your employer offers commuting incentives
- Check with your utility company for energy efficiency or conservation rebates
- Check on federal or state incentives for buying clean or alternative fueled vehicles
